The Roosevelt Island tram, a $1.50 - four minute trip, between Manhattan and Roosevelt is the only aerial commuter tram in the country.
Roosevelt Island is sometimes referred to as "The Little Apple", a joking reference to New York City's nickname as the "Big Apple".
