76th Annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade
Parade Route: through Times Square and down to 34th Street, Manhattan Thursday, November 28, 2002 All Photos are Digital Still Images Captured by Panasonic PV-DV 201

Included in the parade this year were 14 giant helium balloons, 10 novelty balloons, 25 floats, 3 falloons, 4 toy floats, 12 bands, 500 clowns, 1000 cheerleaders, celebrities and 4,000 Macy's employees. Some of the character balloons which took part this year included: Barney, Big Bird, Blue, Cheesasaurus Rex, Clifford the Big Red Dog, Ronald McDonald, Jimmy Neutron and new to the parade this year were Charlie Brown & the Elusive Football, Kermit the Frog, Little Bill, Mr. Monopoly, The Centennial and Uncle Sam. Celebrities who took part in the parade this year included: Ashanti, Baha Men, American Idol's Justin Guarini, Miss USA Shauntay Hinton, Country Legend Alan Jackson, R&B newcomer Mario, Natural, Lee Ann Womack, WWE Superstars, cast members of several popular NBC shows, "Joe" from Blues Clues, The Radio City Rockettes and many more. The parade began on 77th Street and Central Park West with the Tom Turkey float leading the way, and after it reached Columbus Circle, it turned on to Broadway. The parade marched through Times Square and down to 34th Street where it turned at Macy's Herald Square and ended on Seventh Avenue at around noon with none other than Santa Claus ushering in the Christmas season.
